センセイとよんでいる。


大学の建築科を出ていて建築士、木工技能士などの資格を持っているからだ。

だからCAD図面など朝飯前だ。

建築の現場監督や家具職人など社会人経験も豊富だ。

宮崎県出身の30歳。

姉妹に挟まれた長男で幼少期に角という角、牙という牙を全て削られたと本人は言うが、負けず嫌いで意地も根性もしっかりある。

プライドばかりが高いヤツっていうのは箸にも棒にも引っかからないが、無いなら無いでそれに伴って意地も根性も無い人っていうのも多い。

センセイの場合は下らねえプライドだけが丁度良く削られたのだと思う。



2014年の12月に面接にやってきたが、俺はすっかり忘れていて、とある忘年会の予定を入れてしまっていた。


急遽、忘年会が面接の場となった。


40名ほど集まる賑やかな忘年会で、ミス日本橋など奇麗どころの集うテーブルにセンセイを座らせた。

「あとよろしくね〜」

放ったらかして俺はさっさと他のテーブルへ。


数時間後

「ゼッタイ採用〜」と彼女達。

「OK！んじゃ採用で！」

コレで決まった。


いいかげんに思われるだろうが、結果的にコレが実に良い面接となった。

知らない人たちとの初めての席での社会順応性。

長いものには巻かれろ。
郷に入っては郷に従え。

社会人はまずコレであると思う。

そんな事も出来ないヤツにちゃんとトンがることなんて出来ない。
だってそのための素養は自らが構成した環境と人が与えてくれるからだ。

カタ破りっていうのはカタがあってこそ。
カタが無いのをカタ無しって言う。

トンがるっていうのは、ココだけは！って一点に関してだけで良い。
言い方を変えれば、その一点を持ってる人の方が少ないからそうならなくていい人がほとんど。

だからその一点を見つけるまでは巻かれて従いながら順応するのが正解。

何も無いのにトンがってるとハリネズミの様な状態になるが、品格に欠けてみっともない。
まあ少し前の俺の事だが。。。笑



話がそれたが、とにかくセンセイはあらゆる面でKOMAにとって必要な人材だ。

まずは元々持っている図面作成や構造把握などのスキル。
これにより俺や亀井が多くの業務から解放されて新たな挑戦に向かえる。

明るく温和な性格は全体に良いムードメーカーになってくれる。

彼の社会人経験は会社としてまだまだ未熟なKOMAに多くの改善をもたらしてくれる。

そして、まともな社会人経験を持つ者がいないKOMAメンバーに社会人として当たりまえの事をきちんと体現してくれる。



先日、自分が体調を崩した時に思った。

人間いつどうなるか分からない。

医者にどうしたの？ボロボロだよ？って言われた。
健康、頑丈だけが取り柄に思っていたからビックリした。

今日の帰りに事故に遭うかもしれないし、大きな病を煩うかもしれない。

そんな事を考えて生活していてもしょうがないが、可能性としてはゼロじゃない。
そして、何が起っても生活をしていかなければならない。

でも、俺は不安じゃない。

俺に何があっても支えてくれるだろうと思えるし、俺も支えたいと思える仲間がいてくれるからだ。


仲間さえいれば大丈夫だ。
何とかなる。
何とかしてくれる。

何よりも掛け替えのないものは仲間なのだ。


俺たちは社会で生き残るために集まった一つの群れであると思う。
開業から１年で５０％の会社が潰れる。
１０年残るのは５％と言われている。
熾烈な生存競争の中で生き残るために、群れを中心に互いが役割を全うし仲間を支える為に責任を果たす。
コレが仲間だ。


まだ一年の付き合いだが、センセイも全面的に信頼のおける掛け替えのない仲間である。

彼とのストーリーはまだまだこれから創られていくのだ。


そんな彼になついて「平塚さんと一緒に住みたい」なんて言ってるヤツがいる。

19歳になったばかりの佐藤竜だ。

I call him "Sensei", ("Teacher" in English).

He graduated from the department of architecture of an university and holds the license of the qualified architect and the qualified engineer for machinery and woodwork.

He is easily operating Computer Aided Design.

He has a lots of professional experiences including field superintendent and craftsman for furniture.

He is 30 years coming form Miyazaki prefecture.

He is first boy the eldest son between 2 sisters, thus, according to him, whose every single mental corner and fang was rounded off when he was child. From me, he hates losing and has guts.

Those who are proud of themselves without good reasons are absolutely helpless, while, those who are not proud of themselves would tend to have neither backbone nor guts.

In case of Sensei, unnecessary pride are appropriately removed.

His interview was scheduled in December 2014, which I completely forgot and scheduled a year end party.

Then, his interview was held at the year end party.

It was big one for about 40 people and I asked him to sit on the table where pretty women including Miss Nishon-bashi sat.

"Please take care of him." I asked them and went to other tables.

Several hours later, 

They commented me "He must be absolutely hired ～".

"OK ! I will hire him !"

The offer to him was decided as such.

You may think this as irresponsible, however, the interview was indeed good one.

The social adjustability to people met for the first time are assessed.

If you cannot beat them, join them.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

It is the first step as a working adult.

Those, who cannot conduct these kinds of things, cannot be edgy.

Because it would be product of fundamentals one has structured and people.

Unconventionality exists in condition of the conventionality.

No style would be identical to losing of face.

Being edgy would be better to be limited to only one point where one cannot compromise.

In other words, given ones who have something deserve being edgy would be limited, most people cannot be justified to be edgy.

It would be appropriate to adjust to others and to seek the one point.

Those who are edgy without something to deserve appear to be hedgehog, which look  embarrassing without class.

Actually, that is what I was a while ago. lol.

Returning to the topic, Sensei is indispensable person for KOMA from various point of view.

First of all, his skills in drawing and structural understanding.

With it, Kami and myself are relieved from many tasks, thus, are able to focus on new challenges.

He would be good mood maker given his bright and peaceful personality.

His professional experiences have brought many improvements to KOMA which is less experienced.

He would be role model as a typical professional to other members of KOMA who have almost no professional experiences other than KOMA.

I thought of followings the other day when my health was not in good shape.

People cannot tell what will happen in the future.

The doctor told me what have happened to you ? Your health conditions are deteriorated.

I was surprised to hear that given my perception that I have thought of my health toughness as my only strength.

We may have an accident on the way to house and may be suffering from serious diseases.

It would not make sense to worry about them too much, however, the possibility may not be zero.

And, under any circumstance, we need to continue to make our lives.

Actually, I do not worry about it.

Because I have colleagues who I believe to support me in any cases and whom I would like to support if something happen to them.

It would be overcome as long as I have them.

I will work out for them.

And they will make me to be fine.

What are indispensable are colleagues.

We are one group to survive in the society.

50% of new companies go bankrupt in one year.

The survival ratio for 10 years are said to be 5%.

In order to survive in fierce competitions for existence, completing their roles performing their responsibilities to support others in the group.

This is the colleague.

Even spent only 1 year, Sensei is the fully credited indispensable member of KOMA.

Our story with him will continue to be embroiled in the future.

About him, there is one person who said, "I would like to live with Hiratsuka-san."

Who is Ryu Sato who has become 19 years old recently.
